our children's classes
"Yoga […] can be used with all children because it develops physical strength, emotional stability, intellectual and creative talents."
Rishi Arundhati Saraswati, Yoga, Education for Children, Volume 1
Our classes take children through a yoga journey in a playful and engaging way.
A typical children’s yoga class consists of an opening ritual, whose main purpose is to allow children to transition into the yoga space. This is followed by asanas (the postures) and exercises to explore breathing. An age-appropriate meditation or relaxation ends the session.
Our classes are taught in small groups, in English and French.
Organizziamo anche corsi di yoga in italiano, “Yoga piccolo piccolo”, per bambini della scuola primaria.
We also organise other classes for children, including smaller children, as part of our Family Yoga' program.

Benifits of yoga for children
Our kids’ yoga classes, inspired by the GiocaYoga© method, blend all aspects of yoga — the philosophy, the poses, breathing, meditation, concentration, learning and relaxation — and the importance of playing for children. Playing, in fact, serves several purposes, including as a tool to create the group, to energise the children and keep them engaged.
The benefits of yoga for children:
o The fact that yoga is practiced in a group promotes engagement and inclusivity. Children learn to respect themselves and others.
o Yoga fosters a spirit of community.
o Through yoga, children learn, in a playful way, to concentrate.
o It provides techniques to calm the mind, brings energy and vitality, increases self-confidence and stimulates imagination and curiosity.
o Yoga offers an opportunity for children to “explore solutions” based on their own unique skills.
o Yoga helps children to discover anatomy through their own bodies, and it supports spatial awareness.
o Yoga improves balance, strength and coordination and builds a foundation for healthy choices and lifestyle.
o Yoga is non-competitive: it’s a space for children to “just be”, not to perform. Children of all abilities can practice yoga.
o Yoga can be enjoyed by children of all religions or spirituality.
